The Heart also wants a Break Sometimes

“Jiān kāng” (健康) is a Chinese term that translates to “health” or “well-being.” In Chinese culture, it’s considered important to maintain good health in both body and mind, which emphasizes the importance of balance and harmony in the body and mind for overall health and well-being.

Have you ever felt uneasy or stressed to a point where it actually made you physically sick? Lately, I’ve been feeling mentally occupied to the point where I’ve been struggling with insomnia. There have been so many things going on around me, it has been hard to feel productive or motivated when the problems just kept piling up.

I wanted to do so many things with my life, but it has been hard to stay focused. It has been a challenge to keep going, but I knew one thing that I cannot give up because I read somewhere that “when you’re going through hell, don’t stop keep running”. I knew that I was capable of overcoming these obstacles, even if it took time so I did keep running.

However, I’ve noticed that things are starting to change. I’m feeling more centered and grounded, and I’m able to interpret things with greater clarity.

For a while, I couldn’t pinpoint exactly why things were improving, but now I realize that it’s because I’ve started to give myself a break. I’m accepting my weaknesses before I try to overcome them, and this has made a significant difference in my life. I feel less stressed and more at ease, and I’m starting to feel more hopeful and optimistic about the future.
